MX Records Settings Assistant
Use the MX Records Settings Assistant to correct your MX record settings, when you see an MX record error in your Workspace account.
- In the Account Alerts column, next to the email address with the error, click Learn More.
- In the What would you like to do? section, select one of the following:
Option Explanation Leave my email settings as they are and delete my Workspace email This will delete the email address from Workspace, and leave your MX record settings as they are. Choose this if you are successfully using a third-party email provider. Reconfigure my MX records to use Workspace email This option will update your MX records for this email address, automatically, to work with Workspace email. Choose this if you want to use Workspace as your email provider. If this email address is currently set up to work with another provider, and you choose this option, it will no longer work there. Get instructions on reconfiguring my MX records to use Workspace Email This will display instructions for manually updating your MX records.
- Click Save.
- When the confirmation message displays, click Continue.
Note: Changes can take up to 48 hours to complete.
If you selected to delete the email address, you will see Email account pending delete in the Account Alerts column. When the process is finished, the address is removed from your account. You can continue to use your current, third-party email account.
If you selected to reconfigure your MX records, we automatically update your MX record settings, for you. When the process is finished, your Workspace email will start working.
- When your Workspace email is ready, set up an email client, to check and manage your email.
