Add privacy policy to my website

Many laws around the world require that businesses provide its customers/site visitors information about how personal data you may collect from them is handled and processed. Consult with your legal counsel to determine if you require a privacy policy and, if so, what information it should contain and provide.

  1. Go to your GoDaddy product page.
  2. Scroll down to Websites + Marketing and select Manage next to the website you want to change.
  3. Click Edit Site.
  4. Scroll in the main view of your site to where you want to add a section for your privacy policy, and click the plus button.

    Note: The first time a new European Union customer launches Website Builder, it adds a link to a blank Privacy Policy section in the footer.

  5. Select or search for Privacy Policy in the list.

  6. Select the new section in Website Builder's main window to edit your policy in the right-side panel.

  7. When you're ready, select Done at the top of the panel. Your changes are saved automatically. Select Preview to see how they'll appear to visitors. When you're satisfied with the results, publish your site.
