About Certificate Requestors, Approvers, and Contract Signers
Certificate requestors must authorize and submit requests for Extended Validation (EV) SSL certificates. A certificate requestor is the primary contact representing the certificate applicant. The certificate requestor must be an individual employed by the certificate applicant, or an authorized agent who has express authority to represent the applicant, or a third party (such as an ISP or hosting company) that completes and submits an EV certificate request on behalf of the applicant.
Contract signers must authorize Extended Validation (EV) SSL certificate requests with their signature. A contract signer is an individual who is authorized by the requesting organization to sign legal documents and enter into contracts on behalf of the requesting organization.
Certificate approvers sign requests for Extended Validation (EV) SSL certificates. A certificate approver is an individual who is authorized to approve certificate requests on behalf of the applicant.
