Wanted to update my post, but topic is locked

I've been struggling with an issue, and got some great feedback from this forum last week.  I marked an answer as accepted, based on further discussion with GD support that seemed like it would resolve my issue.  Today I wanted to go back and post an update in case anyone else had the same issue, but my topic has been locked.  Is that normal when an answer is accepted?  I tried marking the answer as "not accepted", which did not help.

I realize this question isn't a cPanel issue, but my original problem was in this section.

Thanks!
