    The cPanel servers and dedication server are 2 different platforms - you would need to manually copy your files between the servers. - I would recommend setting up a separate "account" (cpanal) for each site you are configuring on the dedicated server.

    I guess I'm a little confused and perhaps we are mixing terms - A dedicated IP address and Dedicated Server are 2 VERY different things.

     

    If you have a cPanel account and got a Dedicated IP address - you are on the same shared server, it is just that your cPanel account has its own IP address vs the IP address of the server which all the accounts share.

     

    A Dedicated Server is where you have the entire physical server to yourself

     

    From the sounds of it, you got a Dedicated IP for your cPanel account and not a Dedicated Server
