Changing ports on godaddy

Hello, I have a domain on godaddy.

I am trying to change ports from my domain.

What I mean by this is:

I have something running on my server on port 2525.

On go daddy I want this port to be 25. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks, Ira

If you have a VPS or Dedicated Server, you would have no issue configuring this on that port. However, if you're using shared hosting, I don't believe using that port will be an option.

Re: Changing ports on godaddy

Hello @MrVapor, Thank you for replying. The reason why I am asking this question is because my internet provider blocks me from forwarding port 25. So I was wondering if there is an option where I can change the port on godaddy itself.

Is there a way to do this?

Thanks,

In that case, I do believe you'd need a VPS or Dedicated Server. GoDaddy closes most ports for security purposes. I would contact the Hosting Support department via phone to see if they have more options available.
